GAMEPLAY
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is a tactical role-playing game played from an isometric perspective. The player controls a squad of soldiers as they fight their way through enemy territory, completing mission objectives along the way. The game features a new art style inspired by watercolor paintings, and introduces several new gameplay mechanics not present in the first game, such as a branching class system and the ability to capture enemy soldiers and vehicles. combat is divided into two phases: the Command Phase, in which the player issues orders to their troops; and the Action Phase, in which those orders are carried out.
In the Command Phase, the player issues orders to their troops using Command Points (CP). Each character has a set amount of CP that they can use per turn, and certain actions (such as moving or attacking) consume different amounts of CP.
