Shopify Store by Pausing or Deleting
If you’re no longer interested in running your Shopify store, you can delete it or pause it. Pausing your store will make it inaccessible to customers, but you’ll be able to reopen it at any time. Deleting your store will permanently remove it from Shopify and you won’t be able to recover any of the data associated with it.

You’ll see a button that says “Delete store.” Once you click that, you’ll be asked to confirm your decision. Once you do, your store will be permanently deleted.
If you decide to pause your store, you can do so from the Shopify admin as well. Just go to Settings > Account and scroll down to the bottom of the page. You’ll see a button that says “Pause store.” Once you click that, your store will be inaccessible to customers.
