Other ponds exist in Sea of Thieves, but they are either too tiny to fish in or do not contain Pondies. By going to your Map Table and zooming in as far as possible on each island above, you can typically determine where a pond is situated. The pond, which is a tiny body of water on the island, should be visible. It’s a good idea to bring a Storage Crate to the island if you anticipate on capturing a lot of Pondies. That way, instead of repeatedly returning to your ship to drop off fish when your inventory reaches the limit of five, you may keep your fish and food in there for simple transfer. One may be acquired for 17,500 Gold from the Merchant Alliance if you’re wealthy.
Fishing in Mermaid’s Hideaway is also recommended for a few reasons: it’s in a nice Region, there’s a rock you can fish on within the pond that shields you from melee-ranged opponent attacks, and if you grow bored, you may fish for both Raven and Amethyst Islehoppers within the island’s title card.

Pondie Charcoal

The Charcoal Pondie is the most common Pondie variety, so you’ll meet a lot of them on your quest to collect all of the Pondies. Pondies can only be caught in ponds, and they all appear relatively similar, so you shouldn’t have a hard time distinguishing between them (except at night, perhaps).
