WWE released 18 performers following budget cuts this summer, which included WWE NXT Champion Bobby Fish and the Cruiserweight division. The decision was made in order to focus on bringing back John Cena’s original ’16 World Tour’.
The “wwe superstars released 2021” is a statement by the WWE about releasing 18 performers due to “budget cuts”. The company will now focus on building up new wrestlers.
Due to “budget cuts,” WWE has released 18 performers.

On Thursday afternoon, immediately after their quarterly investor call, WWE dismissed 18 members of its roster. Nine members of the main roster and nine from NXT were let go due to “budget cutbacks.”
Releases of the Main Roster:
- Keith Lee is a musician from the United States.
- Mia Yim
- Nia Jax
- Karrion Kross is a character in the game Karrion Kross
- Eva Marie is a character in the film Eva Marie
- Lince Dorado is a character in the film Lince Dorado
- Gran Metalik is a term that refers to a
- Smith, Harry
- B-Fab
Former NXT champions Keith Lee and Karrion Kross have experienced similar ups and downs after being brought up. Lee, who drew standing ovations when he entered the 2019 Royal Rumble, faced Brock Lesnar, and was a member of “Team NXT” at the 2019 Survivor Series, teased a bout against current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but it never happened. After a lengthy break from television due to sickness, Lee just re-emerged with a new “Bearcat” moniker.
Kross had to deal with this when he was called up following SummerSlam.
The former Impact World Champion is engaged to another celebrity on this list who has been released, and it’s a perplexing move to say the least.
Personally, I’m relieved that Gran Metalik has been released, as he had asked. Along with current AEW star Andrade El Idolo, he is a former 4-time CMLL World Welterweight Champion and 2-time CMLL World Trios Champion as Mascara Dorada. Dorada, one of the finest light heavyweights in the world, has been underused in the Lucha House Party’s dormant stable since 2018.
Lince Dorado, Metalik/Lucha Dorada’s House Party partner, was a successful luchador on the independent circuit in places like CHIKARA, very gifted, and still young enough to establish a name for himself at the age of 34.
Nia Jax is a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and a former Raw Women’s Champion. She’s also one of the most dangerous workers in all of televised wrestling, so she’ll hopefully avoid the ring in the future.
Harry Smith is the son of the renowned “British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, and during his second stay with WWE, he signed a contract and did a few dark bouts.
Eva Marie was recently reintroduced to the corporation and enticed out of retirement for a wacky plot before being hastily shifted off-screen to make way for Piper Niven/Viper/Doudrop.
B-Fab and the rest of the “Hit Row” stable from NXT were recently called up following the most recent WWE Draft. That should be good news for them.
Mia Yim, previously Jade in TNA/Impact Wrestling, had a good NXT stint, which is fairly usual, and was called up and packaged with a group of bright performers in the ill-fated “Retribution” stable, which lasted less than a year.
There was a lot of tremendous talent in this round of NXT releases, particularly on the women’s side of things:
- Scarlett
- Ember Moon is a fictional character.
- Money Franky
- Jessi Kamea is a model and actress.
- Katrina Cortez is a model and actress.
- Rama Jeet
- Lorcan Oney
- Trey Baxter is an American football player.
- Ramier, Zayda
In NXT, Zayda Ramier, Jessi Kamea, and, to a lesser degree, Katrina Cortez (who just worked a bout on 205 Live), as well as Jeet Rama, have had relatively little screen time.
Trey Baxter, also known as “Blake Christian” on the indies, has lost no time in getting booked, with numerous shows with GCW already confirmed for December. He’s a high flyer and, like so many others, a squandered chance.

On the indies, Oney Lorcan was known as “Biff Busick” and was a former NXT Tag Team Champion with Danny Burch. Before to WWE in 2015, he wrestled for wXw in Germany, Evolve, Dragon Gate USA, and was the CZW World Heavyweight Champion. On his YouTube channel, he declared that he had a 90-day no-compete clause.
By far the most successful name on this list is Franky Monet, the former (and future) “Taya Valkyrie.” Valkyrie is a former Impact Knockouts Champion, three-time AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, and the longest-reigning Knockouts Champion in Impact history. She is married to John Hennigan (WWE’s John Morrison).

Ember Moon, also known as “Athena” on the independent circuit, possesses one of the finest top rope twisting stunners in the business: “the Eclipse,” or “The O-Face.” She has previously held the titles of NXT Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion. Without a doubt, one of the greatest female employees in North America.
I can’t help but chuckle…

Scarlett (Bordeaux) is Karrion/Killer Kross’ fiancée and has been absent from the main roster since Kross’ call-up. She’s a hard worker in her own right, but as a team, she and Kross are a money team and evidence that the WWE has gone insane.
